2011 Trunk-or-Treat and Halloween Night

We had another successful Trunk-or-Treat at our house just before Halloween 2011. Friends, church family and co-workers joined us as we handed out candy from decorated cars parked along our street and then gathered around our campfire and had yummy treats. We are grateful to everyone who made this fun night possible!
Our cuties dressed in MSU football and cheerleader gear. They make a great team!

This is Merlin the Wizard handing out candy from our truck.Mady helped us by securing the witch stuck in a spider web at the back of the truck and handing out some of our candy.

These are some friends from church with an awesome idea for Halloween costumes!

We are grateful for all of the friends and colleagues that came!

Halloween night finally arrived and the kids couldn't wait to get out the door. Aly was Cleopatra, Kourtney a Native American girl, and as you already know, Ellary and Keegan sported MSU gear. I made Keegan's 'helmet' by crocheting a hat and then adding pipe cleaners covered by more crochet for the face guard.

I took the kids down our street, then Ellary and Keegan stayed with me so we could hand out candy. Kris took Aly and Koco and Puff, our new dog for another hour. Alyson had so much candy by the end of the night that it was crazy! Some lady got tired of handing out candy and poured her candy bowl into Alyson's bag! Alyson had something like 232 pieces of candy by the time she got home.

This was the first year that Keegan really got into Trick-or-Treating. He had a blast helping himself to the candy at each door. Maybe this is an indication that we are too stingy with how much candy we give the kids at home. I don't know!
